What you’ll be working on as our Customer Engagement Manager (PLG)

We’re looking for a Customer Engagement Manager (PLG) to help accelerate our company’s growth goals within our Product-Led motion.

In your first year at Filestage, you will:

  • Own the trial customer journey since sign-up and build a deep understanding of user behaviour by analyzing user sessions, product usage data, and direct user feedback through personal conversation. You utilize these insights to pinpoint friction and craft tailored outreach within minutes

  • Design and execute data-informed lifecycle programs across multiple channels (email, 1:1 client calls,  in-product nudges, quick Looms) that help users set up Filestage for their specific workflow and reach value faster

  • Collaborate with the Support and Product Marketing Teams to develop educational content and resources that drive activation and self-sufficiency

  • Identify conversion opportunities through product usage patterns and intent signals. 

  • Conduct discovery calls to surface team size, workflow complexity, security needs, and procurement hurdles.

  • Guide users through best practices, value realization, and ultimately conversion. Recommend the optimal Filestage plan; close self-served users directly

  • Partner with our  Sales team  to hand off engaged users with high potential for Enterprise custom plans, with clear context, including full account information

  • Turn user insights into structured feedback for Product and Growth (e.g., user-flow gaps, missing tooltips).

Job requirements

What you’ll bring to the role

  • You can drive product adoption and own a commercial target simultaneously, juggling between user activation and conversion playbooks 

  • You love getting in touch with people. You are proactively reaching out to our users using all available channels to support them in achieving their goals

  • You are a consultative, customer-centric communicator - you ask smart questions, listen actively, and coach users to their own aha moments.

  • You are skilled at translating usage data into “next-best actions” and explaining technical concepts in plain language.

  • You are a self-starter who thrives in an async, fully remote culture and enjoys rapid experimentation

  • You are comfortable communicating with users in multiple time zones  - EU daytime with some meetings overlapping into US.
